*The Consulate of Belize in Los Angeles will be closed on the dates indicated above in observance of American and Belizean holidays. 

If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Consulate will be closed the preceding Friday. 

If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the Consulate will be closed the following Monday.




The Consulate of Belize is currently issuing identification cards. Identification cards are pictured identity cards bearing personal information to prove who you are. Acceptance of these cards at U.S. offices and other institutions are completely dependable on said offices and institutions. The Consulate of Belize has absolutely no control over the acceptance and recognition of the Consular Identification Card as an acceptable form of personal or official identification.

Required Documents to obtain a Consular Identification Card are:

  1. Passport* or Original Birth Certificate
  2. Photo I.D. from Belize or U.S.A.
  3. Two Passport-Size Photos
  4. Completed Application
  5. Fee of $50.00 U.S.

 To obtain an application:

  1. Visit the office of the Consulate of Belize in Los Angeles, or

  2. Download the Identification Card application.

You may check back shortly for a posted sample of the Identification Card.

*Expired passport is acceptable when applying for the Identification Card.
